About: Multi-color screen print on white text weight paper. Halftone patterning, a technique to produce screen printable imagery, obscures a sexy selfie into illegibility. Through screen print, the image is reproduced multiple times, layering on top of itself toward further abstraction.The title, "H.I.I. (Here It Is)", playfully and dryly responds to the request for sexual connection in an age of digital correspondence. In making this work I was thinking through analog forms of sex messaging while using the medium to provide safety through anonymity and challenging the viewer with a complex body.
